Visa Invitation Letter for AFRICOMM 2010 Authors
If you need Visa Invitation Letter in order to obtain a visa to enter South Africa, please contact darelle.vanGreunen@nmmu.ac.za.
Please, include your name, address, affiliation passport number and date of birth and in your correspondence as well as the title of your paper.
Please note that a visa invitation letter can only be issued to authors with accepted papers and it can only be sent to you once your registration and payment for the conference have been received. All non-authors interested in attending AFRICOMM 2010 are welcome to apply for a tourist (visitor) visa which does not require a visa invitation letter.

This information is based on the following assumptions:
- The requirements are based on tourist and not business applications
- You have the necessary funds/ tickets/ paperwork
- The applicant's passport should remain valid for a period of 6 months after the applicant's departure from South Africa.
- All applicants intending to be professionally active in South Africa and contemplating any voluntary or paid employment or studies must apply for work or study permits.
These following countries need no Visa:

For a stay up to 90 days no Visa is needed for the following countries:
- Argentina
- Brazil
- Chile
- Ecuador
- Israel

- Swaziland
- Uruguay
- Venezuela
For a stay up to 30 days no Visa is needed for the following countries:
- Antigua and Barbuda
- Barbados
- Belize
- Benin
- Bolivia
- Botswana
- Cape Verde
- Costa Rica
- Cyprus
- Gabon
- Guyana
- Hong Kong
- Hungary
- Jordan
- Lesotho
- Malawi
- Malaysia
- Maldives
- Mauritius
- Mexico
- Namibia
- Peru
- Seychelles
- Singapore
- Slovak Republic
- South Korea
- Thailand
- Turkey; (Turkish Republic of North Cyprus passport not acceptable)
- Zambia
If your country is not mentioned above then you will require a visa to enter South Africa.
Visa's can be obtained at the Embassy or consulate before you travel your travel agent.
Applications for visas must be submitted together with:
- two passport size photographs
- Original passport
- Details of intended travel arrangements
- a business letter if traveling on business
- any other documentation that may support their visit to South Africa.
